Named after Ebenezer Tucker (1758-1845) is the Borough of Tuckerton. This 3.8 square mile community is home to 3,517 residents. Tuckerton was known as the third port entry of the United States. It was created by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 18, 1901. It was created from part of Little Egg Harbor Township and is embedded within the township.
